Private Taxi Service
The combination of poor road conditions, badly maintained vehicles and lack of adherence to internationally accepted driving standards can make traffic navigation in Cairo particularly hazardous. Cairo Expat Service takes the stress out of travelling in Egypt by offering a safe, comfortable and reliable private mini-cab service. We provide long and short distance transfers and tours throughout Egypt: anything from school/office/airport runs to city tours (guides can be provided) and transfers to the Red Sea, Upper Egypt and Alexandria. We have a strict code of conduct for our drivers and a thorough inspection and monitoring system to ensure compliance.
Our drivers must:
- Be well presented, punctual and reliable and carry We Know Egypt identification tags at all times
- Drive in a sensible manner, allowing them to recognise any potential hazard and adjust accordingly
- Not use the mobile phone whilst driving – in the event of a driver receiving a call that may be urgent they are obliged to request permission to stop in a safe place in order to return the call
- Drive appropriate to road/weather conditions
- Drive within the speed limit as set out under Egyptian law
- Obey all road laws as set out under Egyptian law
- Accept the agreed fare only
- Wear seatbelts at all times
- Not carry any passenger other than the client
- Not smoke inside the car
- Provide the best possible passenger environment by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness
- Provide assistance with the client’s luggage on a door to door basis
- Display courtesy to both client and fellow road user at all time.
Long Term Vehicle Hire
Our vehicle hire option offers an economic solution for clients who require complete transport flexibility. Our vehicles are newly imported and are covered by a comprehensive insurance policy.
- Newly imported vehicles (delivery mileage only – please allow 2 weeks for delivery)
- Annual contract as standard but short term hire (minimum 1 month) is available
- Rates are inclusive of comprehensive vehicle insurance
- Self-drive and We Know Egypt approved driver options available
